Naser Derakhshan is a Ph.D. candidate at Politecnico di Milano, and His current research line is within Social Smart Spaces and Internet of Things scenario. This research is funded by TelecomItalia and focuses on the development of methods, technologies, and platforms to conceive advanced, social smart spaces to facilitate the interaction between people, devices, and objects in the physical world. His Ph.D. is under the supervision of Prof. Luciano Baresi. He got his bachelorís degree in Electronic Engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2009. In 2012, he finished his masterís study at the KTH-Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. His masterís thesis was design and implementation of a hardened reconfiguration-controller for self-healing systems on SRAM-based FPGAs. His interest topics are Internet of Things and Smart Spaces, Ubiquitous Computing, Wireless Communication Protocols, Embedded Systems, and FPGA-based Digital Design.
